Webinar: Sharing Spaces in Libraries

Join Libraries Connected, Camden Think & Do and Ashden as we discuss: What if libraries were transformed into community hubs of climate action? What if libraries could spark the imagination of local residents to reap the rewards of climate action, from healthier lifestyles to lower energy bills?
Charities Camden Think & Do and Ashden have been implementing Sharing Spaces in communities across London that empower communities to engage with climate action in a way that relates to them by participating in pop-up activities and events in a local underused space.
In 2024, a weekly Sharing Space co-ordinated by Retrofit Kentish Town ran in Kentish Town Library, North London. In the first six weeks alone, 220 visited the library, 120 of which were visiting for the first time – residents learnt how to save money by reducing energy use at home all whilst building a new relationship with their local library.
How can this be replicated? How can your library be a space that encourages communities to come together to meet, share and learn?
