Microgrants round three: prepare your applications

The third round of applications for our Arts Council England funded Microgrants programme will open at 7am on 6 January 2025, and libraries are urged to start preparing their bids now.

The Microgrants Programme offers grants of £1,000–£5,000 to support small-scale projects or the early stages of larger initiatives, such as community engagement or consultation efforts. The programme aims to help build capacity and confidence within the library sector to pursue larger funding opportunities from Arts Council England and other funders.

Public libraries in England are eligible to apply, including prison and school libraries run by public library services. Each round, the programme allocates over £70,000 in funding.

Round 3 will run for two weeks, opening at 7am on 6 January 2025 and closing at 5.30pm on 17 January 2025.
