Libraries Connected today launches Libraries From Home, an online resource to showcase the fantastic remote services that libraries are delivering to people across the country.

The website pulls together some of the excellent rhyme times, story times and Lego clubs to keep children engaged and support early literacy and creative thinking. It also promotes activities to keep adults connected through online library readings and book discussion groups.

Working with a team of public librarians from across the country, the website will develop over the coming weeks to highlight more of the key services that can be accessed through library membership and social media.

It will also support national literacy and creative events that have now moved online including World Book Night, Get Creative festival and the Summer Reading Challenge as well as the new resources developed by our key partners such as CILIP and The Reading Agency.
