Library services selected for Family Arts/Age Friendly Standards development support

We are delighted to announce that 11 library services have been selected to work on the Family Arts and Age Friendly Standards. The 11 library services participating will now complete a self-assessment form and create an action plan. They will deliver on their action plan through the summer and autumn and share evaluation and good practice in spring 2022. Each service has been awarded £500 from the Universal Culture and Creativity Offer to support the implementation of the action plan. The services taking part are: Barnet, Enfield, Solihull, Lancashire, Staffordshire, St Helens Borough Council, Lincs Inspire, South Tyneside, Stockport, Medway and Barnsley. The Family Arts Campaign (FAC) is a national cross-sector initiative, which aims to increase levels of engagement in arts, culture and creativity for families across the UK. As one of Arts Council England’s Sector Support Organisations, the FAC is dedicated to providing guidance, training and support to cultural organisations and artists to reach, engage and connect with family audiences. You can find more information about the FAC's aims in the Background Information document attached to this article.
