Women's Prize Readers' Room

The judges of the 2025 Women's Prize

To coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Women's Prize, the Women’s Prize Trust are expanding their work with libraries, under a new brand name: Readers’ Room. This new initiative has been made possible through the generosity of Syl Saller CBE.

Working with Libraries Connected, the Women's Prize will share free printed display packs with libraries, to encourage readers to engage with the 562 backlist titles in the Women's Prize library that have been recognised by the Prize over 30 years, as well as for the 2025 Women’s Prize for Fiction and Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction shortlists.

The Women’s Prize and Libraries Connected are also launching a competition for five libraries around the UK to have the opportunity to host a party to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Women’s Prize for Fiction and the announcement of the 2025 prize winners on 12 June 2025. Libraries are invited to pitch their most creative ideas of how they would like to celebrate with the Women’s Prize, and how their particular community would most benefit. The five selected libraries will be gifted exclusive party kits to support them hosting the event.
