BBC's 500 Words, the UK's largest children's writing competition for children aged five to 11, returns in September 2024.

In this webinar we will explore how libraries can be involved, from promoting the competition, taking part as judges, running class visits and family activities to inspiring creative writing. We will also hear from Dr Rebecca Lawrence from Oxford University Press who has created the 500 Words report using children’s stories to develop fascinating insights into children’s lives and thinking.
