Refugee Week, which this year takes place from 17 to 23 June, is the world’s largest festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of people seeking sanctuary. Refugee Week UK Coordinator Lara Deffense joined us to reflect on the theme of this year’s celebrations, 'Our Home', explained how to take part, and shared a new resource for libraries to get involved. We were also joined by Sarah Moth from Essex Libraries, which this month became the latest service to join the Libraries of Sanctuary network. Sarah described the importance of becoming Libraries of Sanctuary and discussed Essex's own plans for Refugee Week.
